I was fortunate enough to attend the RBSA Friends exhibition preview night last Thursday. There was a fantastic array of work on display and the exhibition is well worth a visit. Two of my paintings were selected – thank you RBSA. One of them was ‘hot off the easel’ ‘The Overseer’.
On Wednesday I am contributing to some workshops at the Brewhouse in Burton alongside Nicola Cunliff. The workshops run for six weeks and are featuring my work – I’m really flattered! I’ll be attending to talk about my work and model some sketches and my process. It’s the first time I’ve dipped my toe into demonstrating or teaching, so I’m excited and nervous! I’ve enjoyed just playing with sketches, various apps and different media; posca pens are very liberating! I’ll be focusing on the stunning BurtonTown Hall for my modelled sketches.
Lastly I am thrilled to once again to be taking part in Derbyshire Open Arts over the Whit weekend. As last year, I’ll be based at the wonderful Gasworks in Sudbury. Really looking forward to seeing lots of you there. Sudbury has so much to offer, the Gasworks, the Courtyard and the Hall and more…
