We’ve finally had a spell of dry weather in the UK. It’s possible at long last to walk the dog without sinking ankle deep into mud.
On the art front, I’m delighted to have signed up as a member to Banks Mill Studios in Derby. I’m looking forward to networking, learning and sharing creative ideas with studio residents and other members. Banks Mill is linked to the University of Derby and provides opportunities for artists young and older!
I also attended my first Creative Spaces event in Burton organised by the welcoming Claire Barber. The excellent Cheryl Morris from CreativeWordPR gave a really informative presentation. If you are looking to get your business out there, check her out.
I’m busy painting and prepping for future exhibitions. Derbyshire Open Arts is on the horizon and I’ve sold a lot of my work, so I need to get busy. Here’s a preparatory sketch for one of the pieces I’m working on; inspired by the area around Grindleford in Derbyshire,
