Prepping for Future Shows

I’m busy painting for some up and coming events and shows. More of that in a few weeks time. I’m trying to push my work in slightly new directions – maybe incorporating some more cubist techniques and perhaps incorporating more figures in my work. I’ve been reading quite a bit – principally about Hitchens, L’Hote and some papers by Roger Fry. Where it will take me I’m not sure…

Had a fantastic reunion at Tate Britain with some of my Diploma chums. Fantastic guide Jim Patterson who talked us through 8 pieces of contemporary art. I was in awe of Peter Doigs https://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/doig-echo-lake-t07467 work – I’ve never seen one in real life before.

I’m also back to organising my diary for next year. Derbyshire Open Arts https://www.derbyshireopenarts.co.uk/ is open for applications if people are interested in applying.
