Thank you to Sue and Nansy for organising the fabulous Belper Arts Trail over the Bank holiday weekend. Thanks also to Steph and the team at Kelsey CIC for hosting me. I met so many people who were doing the trail, my lovely fellow artists and team Kelsey of course. Thanks to all visitors, supporters, encouragers and of course buyers.
I am next exhibiting in August when I’m in Leamington for Art in the Park. So I will have lots of time to work on some new pieces. I’ve also been continuing studying expressive figuration with Martin Kinnear. I’m learning loads and currently experimenting with all sorts of media. I’d like to continue to play with some ideas for a series of works that say something about power and abuse of it, In disguised form, these themes often crop up in my work.
Re new work – this is where I’ve got to re the piece I posted last time … I think and hope it’s finished ?
