Thank you Art in the Park in Leamington so much for putting on such a marvellous event last weekend. It was so much fun, brilliantly organised, with lots of visitors and lots of sales.
Redbrick Remembered was one of my pieces that I exhibited for the first time. It was much liked and commented upon, but still with me! That’s given me the chance to order some prints of it. I sold six original pieces and a number of sketches and prints over the weekend. So once again thank you Art in the Park,
I’m busy finishing off some pieces for the Wirksworth Festival October 12th-13th. I’ll be based at Wild Cherry on Greenhill. My lovely host Margaret is serving tea and cakes in her beautiful garden, with absolutely stunning views. I’m so thrilled to be selected again for this very prestigious festival.
Here’s one of my new pieces that I’m putting the finishing touches to. Hopefully it will be ready in time for the festival.

I have been planning some new figural work.and to inform my work and gain inspiration, I’ve been looking carefully at Keith Vaughan’s work, Henry Moore’s etchings and Joseph Herman’s sketches of Welsh miners. Their work is wonderful and well worth looking up.
Finally I’m really sad to see Seeking Settlement off to a new, but I could tell lovely home. This is one of my first paintings that focused on figure work and of course social narratives.
