In October I’ll be travelling to Teddington to exhibit at Landmark Art Fair. I tend to work on medium to large surfaces , so when I exhibit I have lots of spaces that I can’t fill! To address this I’ve been working on some smaller pieces – see one of my favourites below. Big spikes of flowers never fail to inspire me. This piece started as a foxglove and took on a mind of its own.
I’m really excited about going to see the expressionists exhibition in the Tate Modern on Thursday; it’s a chance to reunite with my old Diploma colleagues many of whom are progressing to really exciting places to exhibit and further develop. I’m particularly influenced by the German Expressionists; I love Munch, Kirschner, Mumter, Macke and early Kandinsky.
