Final Prep for Artbourne

Final prep for Artbourne. Just over three weeks to go until the very first Ashbourne based Art Trail Artbourne. I’m busy ordering new prints as well asvarnishing and framing new work. I’ve submitted three pieces to be exhibited in St Oswalds Church. The VIP event on Friday will take place at this stunning Church. Here’s one of them called ‘The Road to Kniveton’. I did some sketches on a lovely short break away in Hognaston that informed the painting.

My final prep for Artbourne has also involved prepping four new limited edition prints for the trail; there’s a lot involved in a limited edition prints. Firstly scanning, then colour matching and finally getting them printed them on William Turner Hahnemule paper. All four will be limited editions of 20 and all regulated by the fine art guild. Here are the four.

Let me know if you are interested in buying one. Prices range from £70 to £150.

News from New Zealand. Tui Motu have now printed my painting Seeking Settlement in their magazine. Here’s the painting and the article. Thank you Tui Motu for featuring my work.

I have a busy summer exhibiting in Derbyshire as well as elsewhere. As well as Artbourne, I am at Bonsall and Six Streets in June. I’ve also just heard that I have got into Wirksworth at the beginning of September. My painting ‘To The Dark Peqk’ is inspired by The Dale in Wirksworth.
