The first tulips are out – and the sun – and it’s a rare year when this doesn’t inspire me to paint some of these beautiful and sculptural blooms. Watch this space …
I’m really delighted to have sold my painting The Promenade this week. One of my favourites. Inspired by much loved places and with plenty of attitude! I delivered the painting only to discover a Peter Prendergast hanging on the collector’s wall.
Also I’m really excited that my painting ‘Seeking Settlement’ is to be featured in a Māori magazine concerned with social justice ‘Tui Motu’ in New Zealand. It is to accompany an article about Gaza written by a professor from Otaga university. Thank you so much for featuring my work.
Lastly a couple more dates for your diary. I’ll be at Art in the Park in Leamington again at the beginning of August. A fantastic weekend with lots of live entertainment as well as over 200 creatives. Make sure you are there! Also I’ve been selected for Art Surrey at Epsom in Surrey in October – a first for me. I exhibited with Art Surrey last year at Sandown; it was a great event with lots of exciting and varied artworks; brilliantly organised as well.
