I was really thrilled to have two of my paintings selected for the Ashbourne Festival. It was really fun attending the preview last Friday and meeting with old friends Vicky Reynolds and Zaza Lewis. It’s on for a week 21st – 28th June and there’s lots of fabulous work on show. Thanks to the committee for selecting my work.
I’ve also been experimenting with new work – in particular continuing my journey with figures and also abstraction. I’ve been looking closely at the work of Peter Lanyon and trying to use some of his ideas to work up some ideas I’ve had about depicting the North Yorkshire coast. Yes I’ve been there for a week again – so inspiring.
