Ashbourne Festival Summer Art Exhibition

I am so thrilled that my painting Seeking Sanctuary was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Ashbourne Festival Open Art Exhibition. Pipped to the post for first prize by Rachel Carters Pilgrim sculpture, I was informed that the judges rarely award a ‘Highly Commended’ for an artwork in the competition. Thank you to Peter, Tim and Rob for all the hard work in putting on this fabulous exhibition. It’s on until July 4th; make sure you visit.

It’s been a very very busy four weeks. Firstly I was in Ashbourne for Artbourne for the very first art trail in the town. What an event! Lots of visitors, plenty of sales and lots of fun! Then we were on hols for a week and then straight into the Bonsall Arts Trail. Again the first time, I’ve exhibited with Bonsall. I loved it. It’s a stunning village and a stunning trail. First up a WIP inspired by the stunning North Yorkshire coast.

Next weekend I’m exhibiting for the first time at the Six Streets Arts Trail in Derby. One of fifty artists, it promises to be a great event. See you there?
