Art in the Park Leamington coming soon! I am super busy prepping for Art in the Park in Leamington. I’m excited to have some new pieces on the easel. Here is one of them called ‘Overboard’.
For those of you who haven’t been before Art in the Park is big news! Over 200 artists, dance, drama and music, it’s loads of fun. Sited in the beautiful Jephson Gradens close to the River Leam, Leamington is a stunning place to visit, full of beautiful Georgian townhouses, lots of cafes and bars. I can’t wait to be there again. Art in the Park were runners up in the festival category of the West Midlands entertainments awards; so brilliantly organised too.
Thank you again to the Ashbourne Summer Festival for selecting my painting ‘Seeking Sanctuary’ as the runner up in their open competion. Awarded a ‘Highly Commended’, this is what the judges said:
Ashbourne Festival Summer Exhibition
I am very pleased to confirm that …… your work ‘Seeking Sanctuary’ was highly commended by our Judges Maggie Cullen and Simon Manby.
This accolade is not normally given, but the judges were insistent that the quality of you painting should be singled out for recognition….
I am also pleased to see that it has sold, always a pleasant outcome.
